Description: The Holy Bible in Matthew 5:9 says ‘Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the children of God.’ In this world of conflict and disharmony, what we need the most is ‘peace’. In the words of Jawaharlal Nehru, ‘Peace is not a relationship of nations. It is a condition of mind brought about by serenity of soul. Peace is not merely the absence of war. It is also a state of mind. Lasting peace can come only to peaceful people.’ Somerville School, Greater Noida held the Peace March on the 23rd of January 2020. Students of class XI took to the streets to promote peace and harmony in the country. The march was flagged by our honourable Principal Dr. Mary Thomas. The students marched with banners and posters which emphasized on promoting and pursuing peace and harmony for the country. It was an enthralling experience for the students to participate in the march which contributed to the betterment of the country. ‘We shall find peace. We shall hear angels; we shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds.’
