Description: The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), India's leading vigilance authority, organizes Central Vigilance Week annually to foster integrity, transparency, and accountability in governance. Somerville School, Greater NOIDA, observed Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 3, 2024, under the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity.” The initiative aimed to inspire students to stand against corruption and uphold high ethical standards.
The week began with an interactive quiz that saw enthusiastic student participation, reinforcing their grasp of the values promoted during Vigilance Awareness Week. Students expressed their understanding of anti-corruption through creative posters, highlighting the theme of integrity. Additionally, students from humanities stream delivered thought-provoking speeches on the significance of vigilance awareness and the importance of observing this event.
Teachers also held a special lecture session, sensitizing senior students about the harmful effects of corruption and encouraging the cultivation of moral values. This session emphasized the critical role students can play in building an ethical, corruption-free society.
The week concluded with a Pledge-taking Ceremony, where senior students committed to practicing integrity in their personal and professional lives. Teachers and the staff members of the organisation also participated in the E-Pledge campaign.
This collective effort underscored a promise for a more transparent future, where integrity, ethics, and good governance are upheld. The week sparked thoughtful discussions on corruption and inspired active student engagement in promoting integrity as one of the core values.
